Providing allergen information is a legal requirement for all cask and keg ale. Therefore we have produced four options that can be utilised in helping to meet your requirements. Whilst these options do help provide allergen information to the customer and staff, you must always make sure that allergens are clearly noted in any supporting documentation.

Bar Staff Facing Allergen Information Sticker:

These 30mm diameter stickers attach to the rear of the pump clip. They are produced on a white polypropylene meaning they do not stain and can easily be wiped clean.

Cask/Keg Labels:

The 50mm cask allergen labels are an easy way to inform landlords of the allergens contained within the keg.

These labels are designed to be directly applied to a cask or keg and are made from polypropylene, so no need to worry about the label being damaged by water.

Consumer Facing Pump Clip Allergen Tags:

We produce consumer facing allergen tags on polyester that come supplied with a pre-stuck self-adhesive tab to attach to the pump clip. You can choose from two orientations of the tag, one that can be applied at the top of the clip between the 10 and 2 o’clock area, or a bottom orientation that would be placed between 4-8 o’clock.

Eco Board Reverse Printing:

To ensure that your eco pump clip is still 100% recyclable, but at the same time, pass the information needed about allergens, we have introduced reverse printing on eco-boards so nothing extra is being attached to the clip.

Understanding Your Allergens.

Grain (cereal) - In most instances, the allergen that is relevant is cereal that contains ‘gluten’. It is the cereal itself that is the allergen, although some people do suffer from gluten intolerance and identifying its presence is a good idea, this is not mandatory. The following grains need to be individually identified as allergens by serving staff if they are present in the beer.

  • Wheat

  • Rye

  • Barley

  • Oats

  • Spelt

  • Kamut

Sulphites:

If your beer contains more than 10mg per litre of sulphites, then this must be identified by the serving staff as a allergen.

Other Allergens:

There are many other allergens that must be declared if they are present in your beer (such as milk). Let us know which allergens you need to declare, and we can create a sticker or tag that is specific to your brand.
